Stella McCartney
She is an English fashion designer
The daughter of former Beatles member Sir Paul McCartney.
She was born in London on 13 September 1971. She interned for Christian Lacroix, working on his first fashion design collection at age 15. And she had improved her skills working for Edward Sexton, her father's Savile Row tailor for a number of years. When she was a college student, she became the talk of the town because she already had ability to make top models wear her clothes.
In March 1997 McCartney was appointed Creative Director of Paris fashion house Chloé. She made commercial and critical success. In 2001, McCartney resigned from Chloé in order to enter into an joint venture with Gucci. She also launched a joint-venture line with Adidas in September 2004. In January 2007, McCartney launched a skincare line called CARE.
Her father is also known for criticizing designers who use animal fur or leather and her mother is an animal rights activist. She also is known as an eco-friendly designer who doesn't use fur and leather.
