Lee Alexander McQueen
Alexander McQueen described as a genius designer and the enfant terrible of the fashion world is known for unconventional and experimental designs and shock tactics. McQueen used innovation to add a different twist to his shows. The silhouettes that he created have been credited for adding a sense of fantasy. He was born on 17 March 1969 in London. He was the youngest of six children and started making dresses for his three sisters at a young age.
He launched second line brand, McQ and perfume brand My Queen. Also, he was collaborated with various brand such as Puma,Samsonite and so on.
Some of his accomplishments included achieving the title "British Designer of the Year.",which he won four times between 1996 and 2003. He was also awarded the CBE and named International Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers in 2003.
His death was announced on 11 February 2010. McQueen died days before London Fashion Week, though he was not scheduled to show, and nine days after the death of his mother, Joyce from cancer.He who had been diagnosed with depressive disorder took an overdose prior to hanging himself.
