  A Korean-American fashion designer

  She was born in 1973. Since she was little, she was always interested in the arts, particularly fashion illustration. Chung graduated from Parsons School of Design with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion in 1995. After receiving her degree, she worked for Geoffrey Beene for six years, rising to the position of head designer. In 2003, she was included in Vogue. For this reason, she got to receive attention.
  Chung is famous for her jersey dresses, which have a unique drape. Her sexy jersey dresses are worn by Hollywood celebrities, splashed on the pages of Vogue, sold in New York and London. She has made it in the fashion world.

  She advises young aspiring designers. "Just listen to yourself. If you don't have the conviction and you need someone else to tell you that, you're in the wrong industry. You have to be self-assured and you really have to know what you want to do."

Derek Lam

  He was born in San Francisco, California and is of Chinese American parentage. Lam graduated from Parsons School of Design in 1990. Lam began working as an assistant for Michael Kors in the 90s. He has said that Kors taught him "American classics 101," and a similar easy glamour infiltrates Lam's designs. In 2002, he was appointed as the head designer. for Michael Kors' Kors line. In 2003, he launched his own label.

   The feature of his silhouette is tight and pleasantly simple. He makes beautiful and girlish design by using this silhouette.
   In addition to clothes, Derek Lam also has a line of shoes and jewelry. In February 2010, Derek Lam launched an e-commerce website selling an edited collection of ready-to-wear and accessories. Since his successful debut, Lam hasn't lost momentum, expanding into accessories, shoes, and eyewear.

Michael Kors

   He was born August 9, 1959. He began designing clothes at the age of 19 and studied fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.

   In 1981, Kors launched the Michael Kors womenswear line. Kors was appointed as the creative director for the French fashion house Celine in 1997. In 2002, he launched his second brand Michael Michael Kors.

   Kors is famous for his classic, chic, and luxurious but elaborate detailing  on American sportswear and other clothing styles.

   In 1999, he received the CFDA award for womenswear designer of the year and in 2003, he received the CFDA award for menswear designer of the year.

Dries van Noten

Dries van Noten

"My work aim is to give people the means to remain themselves, as close to their tastes as possible."

   He is a Belgian fashion designer. Van Noten was born into a family of garment makers and traders: his father owned a menswear shop and his grandfather was a tailor. He graduated from the Antwerp Fashion Academy in 1980, and began his career in 1986, when he presented his first menswear collection in London. In 1989, he remodeled and expanded his shop. In 1992, he got to show his clothes in France.

   His purpose is to satisfy personal by a detailed design. He  a philosophy called "item by item". His style is said to be ethnic and antique.

Stella McCartney

She is an English fashion designer
The daughter of former Beatles member Sir Paul McCartney.

  She was born in London on 13 September 1971. She interned for Christian Lacroix, working on his first fashion design collection at age 15. And she had improved her skills working for Edward Sexton, her father's Savile Row tailor for a number of years. When she was a college student, she became the talk of the town because she already had ability to make top models wear her clothes.

   In March 1997 McCartney was appointed Creative Director of Paris fashion house ChloĆ©. She made commercial and critical success. In 2001, McCartney resigned from ChloĆ© in order to enter into an joint venture with Gucci. She also launched a joint-venture line with Adidas in September 2004. In January 2007, McCartney launched a skincare line called CARE.

   Her father is also known for criticizing designers who use animal fur or leather and her mother is an animal rights activist. She also is known as an eco-friendly designer who doesn't use fur and leather.

Donna Karan

Donna Karan
  An American fashion designer and the creator of the DKNY clothing labels.

  Karan was born Donna Ivy Faske in Forest Hills, Queens, USA. Her stepfather was a tailor, and her mother was a model. So she could be influenced by fashion from the time when she was a child. When she was 14 years old, She started selling clothing on Cedarhurst, New York's Central Avenue.
  After graduating college, Karan worked for Anne Klein, eventually becoming head of the Anne Klein design-team. In 1985, she launched her own business "to design modern clothes for modern people". In the same year she showed her first women's clothing collection. In 1988, Karan extended her women's DKNY line by a less expensive one for younger women. Especially, her clothes have attracted the notice of career women because Karan designs is comfortable, active and womanly clothes.

  By now, Donna Karan has been regarded as a female designer who design very delicate and practical clothes.

  She is an American fashion designer.
  She was born June 27, 1949. She was raised in New York, New York of Chinese descent. When she was young, her mother used to took her to a fashion show.

  When she was a high school student, She trained as a figure skater. However, she failed to become a member of the national team. After that, she got to be immersed in the fashion industry.

  She worked for Vogue and she became the youngest editor. After 16 years, she left Vogue and joined Ralph Lauren as a design director in 1985. In 1990, she opened her own design salon that features her trademark bridal gowns. She has made wedding gowns for many celebrities. She also has designed costumes for figure skaters.
 Currently, she has expanded her brand name through her fragrance, jewelry, eyewear, shoe and houseware collections.

The Creative Director of  Louis Vuitton.

  Jacobs was born on April 9, 1964 in New York City. He attended Parsons, studying fashion. When he was a college student, Jacobs designed and sold his first line of hand-knit sweaters.

  In 1986, Jacobs designed his first collection bearing the Marc Jacobs label. With his first collection, he started to come into the spotlight. In 1987 Jacobs was the youngest designer to have ever been awarded the fashion industry's highest tribute, CFDA Perry Ellis Award for New Fashion Talent.

  After being recognized for his genius, Jacobs joined Perry Ellis with Duffy in 1989. However, his s/s collection in 1992 was so difficult and unfamiliar that he was turned away by both the public and the fashion world. Eventually, his attempt made him resign the position of Perry Ellis designer.

  However, he succeed in coming back by showing new collection in 1994. He established Marc Jacobs International Company with Duffy. In 1997, Jacobs was appointed as Creative Director of luxury French fashion house, Louis Vuitton, where he created the company's first ready-to-wear line. Jacobs has collaborated with many popular artists for his Louis Vuitton collections. As of 2010, Jacobs remains the Creative Director for Louis Vuitton.

Lee Alexander McQueen

  Alexander McQueen described as a genius designer and the enfant terrible of the fashion world is known for unconventional and experimental designs and shock tactics. McQueen used innovation to add a different twist to his shows. The silhouettes that he created have been credited for adding a sense of fantasy.

  He was born on 17 March 1969 in London. He was the youngest of six children and started making dresses for his three sisters at a young age.
  He launched second line brand, McQ and perfume brand My Queen. Also, he was collaborated with various brand such as Puma,Samsonite and so on.

  Some of his accomplishments included achieving the title "British Designer of the Year.",which he won four times between 1996 and 2003.  He was also awarded the CBE and named International Designer of the Year by the Council of Fashion Designers in 2003.

  His death was announced on 11 February 2010. McQueen died days before London Fashion Week, though he was not scheduled to show, and nine days after the death of his mother, Joyce from cancer.He who had been diagnosed with depressive disorder took an overdose prior to hanging himself.
